I found it funny how every person you come across thinks of you differently. Some people like you and some not so much. That’s ok, you were not made to be liked by everyone. After all, you are not Nutella.
Let me explain. The other day, while I was working, someone told me “You are so beautiful!” I smiled and thanked him for his sweet comment. Later on that day, someone I know asked me “What’s this?” Pointing at my gray hair. He said that it did not look good on me and that I should continue dying my hair. I appreciated his sincerity. After all, not everybody has the guts to tell you what they truly think of you. The next day, a person I hadn’t seen in a long time, said my hair looked great and that it added character to my personality. I chose to believe the two people who complimented me!
I like my gray hair! In fact, I think that it makes me unique! And, sometimes I like doing the opposite of what people think I should do. But, you know what?…At the end of the day we need to be happy and feel confident with whatever we choose. We can’t let the opinions of others blind us from our own truth.
What you think of yourself is far more important than what people think of you. Love who you are!
